Masterson Wildlife Management Area is 38.03 acres of switchgrass planting with small prairie remnants on the driest hilltops. Birding for grassland species in this area can be rewarding due to the large amount of CRP and remnant wetlands.

Public Hunting is allowed.  Hunters should find pheasant and deer on this site.

When hunting, please remember the 200 yard rule of residence.

Hunters are required to use, and can possess, only non-toxic shot while hunting migratory game birds, resident game birds, game animals or furbearers (excluding deer and wild turkey) on all land owned or managed by the Hamilton County Conservation Board.

 Located 5 miles southwest of Stanhope at 1724 400th Street.
