Event Summary

On Saturday, February 5th, Calkins Nature Area staff will once again be hosting Kelly McKay, independent research biologist, for our final event in our Building Better Birders workshop series. Join us from 10-11 AM for discussion of the Christmas Bird Count Program, 11 AM to 1 PM for an overview of Iowa's common feeder birds; 1 PM to 3 PM for a birding hike through the Calkins timber trails. Between 3-5 PM we will conclude with another discussion and overview of Iowa's water birds.
