Hardin County Conservation will be offering a Hunter Safety Class on Saturday, September 12th, from 8:00a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Participants must pick up a Hunter Safety Manual in advance; you can do so at Calkins Nature Center or the Barlow Library in Iowa Falls. Participants must be 12 years of age or above and will need to bring a sack lunch. You must also bring the completed quizzes in the hunter safety manual.
Hunter Safety Classes are mandatory for everyone born after January 1, 1967, and your Hunter Safety Certificate must be presented when purchasing a hunting license. In addition, many states require out-of-state hunters to carry the Hunter Safety Certificate regardless of the date they were born.
