Parline Pierce Wildlife Area


This wildlife area sits on 131 acres. This property borders the west side of the Iowa River. It is located in Jackson Township, Section 2. It consists of 14 acres of timber, 92 acres of grassland and 25 acres of tillable ground.
The Hardin County Conservation Board purchased the property from Kelvin Pierce in 1992.




Location

This property is located 5 miles east of Iowa Falls on county Highway D-15. Turn south on R Avenue 2 miles, turn west on 145th Street for about ½ mile and then turn south on QQ Avenue for 1 ½ miles. Then turn east on 160th Street for ½ mile and the property is located immediately south of lower entrance of the Eagle City park.

Great primitive area, prairie land, also full of timber, stream fishing and open for hunting.
