OWLS Winter Seed Sowing


Event Summary

Winter sowing for native plants is a low-effort, low-cost, natural method for starting native seeds. Learn more about growing native plants and prepare a milk jug with native seeds to take home. Class is from 1:30-3:00 PM. Participants can bring an empty half or gallon milk jug (optional; we will have some available).

This is an OWLS (Older, Wiser, Livelier Souls) Program sponsored by Dubuque, Jackson, and Jones County Conservation departments. OWLS programs are open to any adult interested in learning more about the natural world.
