Event Summary
Enjoy the fall colors this year with a Fall Overnight Paddle Trip!
We will be paddling down the Maquoketa River, enjoying the colorful bluffs and forests, and stopping for a single night at Buzzard Ridge Wildlife Area. We will camp at the primitive camp site in the park Friday night and paddle out the next morning (see brief itinerary below).
The whole trip will cover about 15 miles, and paddling will be required, but no previous camping or paddling experience is necessary.
We will provide canoes, life vests, dry bags, and dinner. Participants will need to bring breakfast and any extra snacks they would like to bring. We will have tents available to borrow if needed. Participants must be 18 years old or older. No previous experience necessary!
Registration is required by September 27th. Cost: $20 per person. Registration is required online here.

Schedule:
Day 1
- meet at Royertown access at 1:00PM
- Pack, introductions, and shuttle to Supples access
- Paddle to Buzzard Ridge Wildlife Area2
- Set up camp, stargaze, dinner, and enjoy nature
Day 2
- Paddle to Royertown access
- Shuttle and be done by 12
