Event Summary

Jackson County Conservation and Dubuque County Conservation are collaborating on various citizen science projects this summer. Join our bird citizen science effort with a short bird survey! Come learn basic bird ID and how you can help us learn more about birds by simply going out and finding them! This easy hike is great for any experience levels and will offer tips and tricks on bird ID. Bring your own binoculars, or borrow one of ours.

Please dress for the weather and the outdoors! The terrain will be easy and mostly flat.

Registration is encouraged. To register, please call 563-652-3783 or email jrodewald@jacksoncounty.iowa.gov.

Pine Valley Nature Area is located three miles north of Monmouth, off 30th Avenue. 2 parking lots are available. We will be using the south most parking lot.
