No School Day- Upcycled Textiles Streamers & Decor

Event Summary

Enjoy your afternoon during this ICCSD No-School Day at Kent Park! Using leftover t-shirts from our Clothing Swap, participants will learn to make t-shirt yarn, tassels, and several simple crafts that are fun to add to a play room or outdoor play space. This class is appropriate for elementary students and up. A parent/guardian is asked to stay and assist youth participants with their projects. Participants will learn how to make t-shirt yarn and tassels. We will have some t-shirts available to craft with but feel free to bring old t-shirts to which you would like to give new life. 

Registration automatically closes one day in advance. If you are fully registered, you can expect to receive an email "receipt" from MyCountyParks after registration. You will also receive an email from the leading naturalist a couple days in advance of the program. If you do not receive these emails, you may not be registered; call 319-645-1011 for assistance in this case. **Please note, our pre emails have regularly been sorted into spam/junk mail recently.
