Spring Ephemeral Hike - Cangleska Wakan

Event Summary

Cangleska Wakan features a high-quality oak forest that is perfect for spring wildflower viewing. On this hike, we'll loop through the property over 1.4 miles of trail, checking out what new flowers are in bloom, which birds are singing, and talk about some history behind the flowers and birds we find. The trail is grass-surfaced for most of the hike and can get slick sometimes. There are a couple hills that we'll climb and descend, and no seating along the way.

We take photos during our public events. If you do not wish to be in any photos, please send an advance email to the contact listed.

Registration automatically closes one day in advance. If you are fully registered, you can expect to receive an email "receipt" from MyCountyParks after registration. You will also receive an email from the leading naturalist a couple days in advance of the program. If you do not receive these emails, you may not be registered; call 319-645-1011 for assistance in this case. . **Please note, our pre emails have regularly been sorted into spam/junk mail recently. Check these folders for the pre email.**
