Tales in the Tallgrass – STORYTELLING SIGN-UP

Event Summary

Are you afraid of the dark? If not, join us for a night hike through a fall prairie where we will share spooky tales as the sunlight fades. With any luck, we just might hear some nocturnal wildlife along the way.

This registration page is for people who wish to share a spooky tale during the program. If you do NOT want to be a storyteller, you may sign-up with the other registration page for listeners only. Please message CCozad@JohnsonCountyIowa.gov if your preferred registration has closed; we may still be able to accommodate you.

This program is for adult participants only.

Storytelling Guidelines:

1) Stories should be limited to 5 minutes or less in length.

2) Stories may be true or fiction. If true, please change names of anyone involved for their privacy.

3) Please keep stories at approximately a “PG-13” rating at most – we want to create a fun and safe environment for all participants.

Registration automatically closes one day in advance. If you are fully registered, you can expect to receive an email "receipt" from MyCountyParks after registration. You will also receive an email from the leading naturalist a couple days in advance of the program. If you do not receive these emails, you may not be registered; call 319-645-1011 for assistance in this case. **Please note, our pre emails have regularly been sorted into spam/junk mail recently. Check these folders for the pre email.**

JCC is committed to providing equal opportunity for participation in all programs, services and activities. We welcome and encourage people with disabilities to attend programs and events. Accommodations may be requested by contacting naturalist staff at 319-645-1011 or jccnaturalists@gmail.com.
