Discover Galland School in Montrose
The second replica of Galland School was built in 1977 by the State Conservation Commission to honor Iowa’s first school. In 1986, the Lee County Conservation Board took over management and later added a small amphitheater, enhancing the site for educational programs and historical interpretation.4o
