Youth Dove Hunt

Event Summary

Our Free Youth Mentor Dove Hunting Event will be back on the first weekend of September!

On Sept. 1st, Friday evening from 5:30-8pm, participants will be treated to pizza and will review basic gun handling and hunting regulations at the Tri State Gun Club (308 280th St, Montrose, IA 52639). Then the following morning, Saturday, Sept. 2nd from 5:30-11am, participants will head to the sunflower field at North Heron Bend Wildlife Area (2478 - 263rd Avenue, Fort Madison, IA 52627) with their mentor and experience the excitement of dove hunting!

This event is generously sponsored by Lee County Pheasants Forever, Great River Quail Forever, and Dan's Pawn & Gun.

What to Bring: Kids may bring their own mentor for the event, and volunteers will be available to mentor, as well. Kids will need to provide their own gun and ammo for the event.
