Fresh Air Fridays - Summer Series

Event Summary

This week's Fresh Air Friday event is all about birds! We'll be at Morgan Creek Park's Playground (E Ave. entrance) from 10-11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 11. Learn about local birds, native and non-native species, their sounds, what they look like, and why they are important.

Come out on Fridays for fun, family-friendly pop-up events at some of our favorite Linn County parks! Catch us every Friday under the Linn County Conservation tent for exciting hands-on activities based on that week's theme! Plus, join us for a fun nature-themed story time with a read-aloud at 10:30 a.m. near the activity tent. Collect stamps on your Fresh Air Friday Passport each week. Attend three or more dates over the summer for a prize. Enjoy the fresh air, explore new areas, or rediscover your favorite outdoor places. Activities are geared towards kids ages 4-12, but all are welcome. Free. No need to register.   

June 6, 10-11:30 a.m.– Morgan Creek Park, playground (E Ave. entrance)  

June 13, 10-11:30 a.m. – Pinicon Ridge Park, riverside south playground  

June 20, 10-11:30 a.m. – Wickiup Hill Learning Center, nature playscape area

July 11, 10-11:30 a.m. – Morgan Creek Park, playground (E Ave. entrance) 

July 18, 10-11:30 a.m. – Pinicon Ridge Park, riverside south playground
