White Oak Trail Hike - "Just a Walk in the Park" Series

Event Summary

Join us for an in-depth cruise of the White Oak Trail.  Watch for highlights on our Facebook page, as we build this series called "Just A Walk in The Park". This hike leads us through a deep valley that holds a mature landscape and woodland community as well as some very new growth. The valley is nearly as enjoyable as the ridge tops.  A good leap may be needed to cross a small stream as well as a small washout.  Options for walking around these exist.  Sturdy hiking boots, dress for the weather in layers, and bringing a staff or hiking sticks would be suggested options along with binoculars or a camera if you wish.   Limited registration, due to the outdoor nature of the hike face masks will be optional though suggested.  Youth under the teens may not be up for the route with the time frame and pace we have scheduled for this hike. Dress for the weather. Rain or shine event unless hazardous weather occurs. Expect to see red-headed woodpeckers, white-tailed deer, wild leeks and more with an experienced Naturalist to interpret what we see.
