Fishing and Flavor Experience

A Chance for Kids to Learn to Catch, Clean, and Prepare Fish! 

Who: Kids ages 12-15

What:  A full circle event where you will learn much about fishing, preparing fish and eating them!  

When: Friday, July 18 from 10-2:30  

Where : Pinicon Ridge Park, Central City, Iowa - starting at Eagle View Shelter and ending at Horseshoe Lodge     

What’s covered?  We will learn how to cast safely, we will fish for about an hour, we will go over fish Identification, have a fish cleaning demo, a chance to clean a fish, then a local Chef from Mamma Mia’s will instruct participants on how to season and prepare fish.  Once that is all wrapped up – the Chef will feed the participants fish and assorted sides!

Free! Due to a grant received from National Association of Interpretation, Region 5, this program is possible! Deadline of July 15 at Noon.
