Critter Catch

Event Summary

Join Linn County Conservation as we celebrate the vital importance of wetlands to our ecological, economic, and social health. Wetlands help improve water quality and supply, reduce flooding, and provide critical habitats for plants, fish, and wildlife. Families are invited to Wickiup Hill Learning Center for a hands-on exploration to discover what critters are living in or around the water. Linn County Conservation will be available to help identify critters and will have microscopes on hand for viewing and identifying samples as well. Iowa State University and other partnering organizations will be on site with exhibits, displays, and activities regarding water quality and conservation. No need to register. Come and go from 9 a.m. – Noon. This is a free family event and is open to all ages.
