Event Summary

Monarch Research's latest initiative - Native Oasis is a growing program designed to help landowners turn unproductive grass areas into thriving pollinator "oases." Starting its second year, the program is expanding with 200 new plots in preparation for June 2026 planting.  We'll share how we are partnering with Linn County Master Gardners, Linn County Conservation, and the cities of Marion and Cedar Rapids to make it easier for local residents to connect with mentors, find the right native plants, and take simple, guided steps to create beautiful, biodiverse spaces that support bees, butterflies, and the environment.
