Curious About Prescribed Fire?

Whether you are a landowner interested in using fire as a land management tool or just wanting to learn more about prescribed fire, this workshop is for you! We will cover the history of fire in Iowa, ecological benefits, management goals, burn plans, fire weather, essential tools and equipment, safety and more! The sessions will consist of mostly indoors instruction. There will be some outdoor sessions towards the end of the day, weather permitting. Any, and all experience levels are welcome!

Location: Madison County Conservation Center

Time: 8:30am to 4:30pm

Includes: Coffee, donuts, lunch, and materials

Pre-registration is required

Note: No live burning will take place at this workshop. No certifications will be given for the completion of this workshop; it is purely for educational purposes.
