    Rental Contract Agreement

    • Kegs are prohibited at all of the Mahaska County Conservation Board areas.
    • Shelters that have not been reserved are free for public use on a first come first serve basis.
    • Cost to reserve an electric shelter is $50.00
    • Cost to reserve a non-electric shelter is $30.00
    • MCCB reserves the right to refuse rental of any shelter house.
    • Abide by all rules and regulations for MCCB areas and laws by state of Iowa. 
    • Renter agrees to be responsible of any damages done to property within the park/shelter by renter or any of renter's party.

     

    Cancellation Policy

    Notify the Park Office of all cancellations. If you need to cancel a reservation, you will lose 100% of all reservation fees paid. If you contact the Park Office 7 days before your reservation, you are allowed to change reservation dates (limited to twice) to a later date that works best.

    Refund Policy

    All reservations with the Mahaska County Conservation Board facilities are final. Reservations are non-refundable unless the following situations occur:

    1.    The National Weather Service has issued severe winter weather conditions and advised against travel. 

    2.    We are unable to provide your facility (or like facility) in operable condition for the date of your event. 

    Eveland Access features an electric day-use shelter that’s perfect for gatherings and celebrations. The shelter is equipped with electrical outlets, lights, and picnic tables for your convenience. A water hydrant is located on the west side, with a grill just to the south for easy outdoor cooking. Guests can also enjoy a sand volleyball court nearby, and a vault toilet is available at the west entrance of the campground. 

    For your convenience, a reservation sheet with your name and event date will be posted at the shelter on the day of your rental, ensuring your space is clearly marked and ready for your gathering.

    Shelters are available on a first-come, first-served basis unless reserved in advance.

    Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 08:00 AM and check-out is before 10:00 PM.

    The Mahaska County Conservation Board is located at the Environmental Learning Center, 2342 - Hwy 92, Oskaloosa, IA 52577; housing the nature center and the administrative offices. Additionally, the Mahaska CCB collectively manages 21 individual areas including parks, wildlife areas and water recreation accesses encompassing approximately 1,722 acres across the county.
