Join Stephanie Shepherd, a wildlife diversity biologist from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, for an engaging look at how Iowans are helping protect the state’s native species. Learn about the wide variety of volunteer opportunities available through Iowa’s Wildlife Diversity Program—from native bee monitoring and bald eagle nest surveys to frog and toad call surveys, just a few of the many ways you can get involved.You’ll also hear inspiring success stories and see real results from past monitoring efforts, including how volunteer data has helped track population trends, support conservation decisions, and contribute to the recovery and protection of species across Iowa.
