Gramm Wetland

The Gramm Wetland is a 214 acres wildlife area inside the city limits of Onawa on the east side of town.  The Monona County Conservation Board received the property from the Sioux rivers RC&D in 2012. Royce Gramm originally donated to the RC&D in 2004. The RC&D had low water excavation done, new prairie seeding and a windmill installed to pump water into the area. Gramm Wetland currently has two 5-acre food plots, shrub plantings, and a popular 2-mile walking trail. Gramm Wetland is an excellent place to hunt upland birds including pheasants, and doves. Gramm Wetland is open to hunting but Shotgun only due to being in city limits.
