Are there showers and restrooms in the campground?
Yes!
We have a very modern shower house with 4 units. Each unit has a shower, toilet, sink, and sitting bench.
It is handicapped accessible.
It also doubles as a storm shelter.

What type of fish species do you have in Lake Miami?
We have four different fish species. We have Bluegills, Crappies, Largemouth Bass and Catfish.
Does Lake Miami Park have visitation hours?
The campgrounds and park closes at 10PM.
Exceptions: fisherman and guests staying at our park
Is the Monroe County Shooting Range open to the public?
Open shoots for the public will be available from mid July - Fall, weather permitting. Open shoots are hosted generally one night a week (Thursdays). There are fees associated with use of the facility.
Does Lake Miami Park have any shelters available to reserve for events?
We have one enclosed shelter that has AC/Heat, 8ft banquet tables, folding chairs, and a fireplace. On the concrete patio outside there are picnic tables.
We have two other outdoor shelters available for rent. They have picnic tables, fire rings, and grills.

What are your prices for everything?
Cabins:
- April 1 - September 30: $100 + tax per night, 2 night minimum
- October 1 - March 31: $90 + tax per night, 2 night minimum
Shelters:
- Enclosed Shelter: $100 per day
Elkview or Lakeview Open Shelters: $25 per day
Camping Rates:
- Full Hook-up $22 per night
- Electric Only (Camper or Tent) - $17 per night
- Primitive Camping(No Electricity) - $12 per night
Is there a storm shelter available?
Yes!
There are 2! The shower house doubles as a storm shelter and there is another storm shelter available.
Can you swim at Lake Miami?
No.
Swimming is not permitted in the lakes or any of the ponds.
Can I kayak, canoe, or paddleboard on Lake Miami?
Yes!
Is the nature center open to the public.
The public is encouraged to come and see the nature center.
Currently it is unlocked by request.

Reserving a Facility
Is bedding provided in the cabins?
Bedding is not provided.

- Bedding and/or sleeping bag and pillow
- Bath towels, bath mat, and toiletries
- Some dishes, cookware, and utensils are provided - renters may wish to bring their own
- Potholders, dish towels, and dish rags
- Lawn chairs
- Fishing poles and tackle
- Sunscreen & bug spray
- Plenty of food and snacks
I rented a cabin, what should I bring?

Rules
Can you use fireworks at Lake Miami, Lake Miami Park or any other MCCB property?
No. We do not allow any consumer fireworks to be used in any form at any of our MCCB properties. Iowa Code states that people can use consumer fireworks on real property (private) unless a land owner allows people to use consumer fireworks on their property.
What is MCCB cabin reservation cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be made 15 days in advance. Contact the Muscatine County Conservation Board 563-264-5922 with any questions.
Are pets allowed in the cabins?
No pets are allowed inside or outside the cabin, subject to reasonable accommodation as may be required by state or federal law.
Are pets allowed in the campgrounds?
Yes! We love seeing pets out exploring with their owners and enjoying camping life.
Pets must be on a leash at all times while on county property.
No pets allowed in the cabins.
Do I need a fishing license to fish at Lake Miami Park and Carmack Park?
Yes.
Please support the DNR by purchasing a fishing license. Those funds help the state to continue to have great places to fish.
