Rental Contract Agreement

1.  Cabins are designed for the maximum capacity established by the Conservation Board. No parties, reunions, weddings, or large gatherings are allowed.

2.  A minimum of two consecutive night’s rental is required. There is a maximum stay of two weeks in a 30-day period for any person or persons staying in the cabins at Lake Miami Park.

3.  Reservations may be made up to a year in advance.

4.  The cabin is a strictly enforced NO SMOKING facility in accordance with State Law.5.  No pets allowed inside or outside the cabin, subject to reasonable accommodation as may be required by state or federal law.

6.  Kegs are not allowed in or around the cabin areas.

7.  No subletting of cabin permitted.

8.  No one under 21 years of age is allowed to rent the cabins. An adult, at least 21 years of age, must be present during the rental period.

9. Cabin furniture must remain inside the cabin.

10. No candles are allowed in cabin or on the deck.

11. No burning of pallets and construction materials containing nails, screws or staples is allowed in the fire rings.

12. No fireworks of any kind are allowed around the cabins or in the park.

13. Check-in time is no earlier than 2:00 pm.

14. Check-out time is no later than 11:00 am on the last day of reservation.

15. Failure to follow the cleanup guidelines, loss of inventory, or damages to property, including pets, may result in additional charges billed to the renter.

16. There are NO REFUNDS for cancellations. Requests for consideration in the case of emergencies must be made in writing to the Conservation Board.

17. Visitors must be out of the park no later than 10:00 pm. Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm-6:00 am.

18. All other Monroe County Conservation Board park rules apply. Violation of any park rules or regulations may result in fines, use privileges being rescinded, and forfeiture of rental fees.

19. Monroe County Conservation Board reserves the right of staff to enter cabin in an emergency, to inspect, and/or replenish supplies.

 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made 15 days in advance. Contact the Monroe County Conservation Board 641-455-4778 with any questions.

Refund Policy

Cancellations made 30 days prior to a reservation will receive a coupon code for the full amount of the reservation minus the $4 MCP fee. Cancellations made between 15-29 days prior to a reservation will receive a coupon code for the reservation amount minus a $10/night cancellation fee and forfeit the $4 MCP fee. Refunds will NOT be made for cancellations made less than 15 days in advance.

Cabin 1 overlooks the lake and is one of three modern cabins located in Lake Miami Park. It is the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend or week for a couple or small family. Activities in the area include fishing, canoeing/kayaking/paddleboarding, hiking, and visiting the elk exhibit.

April - October - $100/night + tax - 2-night minimum stay
