Want to make a pocket prairie in your own yard? Want to save money on new plants? Come see how at our Winter Wildflower Seed Sowing Workshop. Don’t have a garden space, but curious how seeds can be started outdoors in the winter cold? Join us anyway. This is a free workshop. Please bring milk jugs for your plantings.
Learn about native plants and how you can easily and inexpensively start native wildflowers from seed to add to your landscaping. We will discuss the importance of native plants to our environment and methods for starting their seeds. Discussion will include growing tips and how to harvest the seeds from your garden in the fall. Seeds and soil will be provided, please bring plastic jugs. Milk and water jugs work great. Attendees will be able to take their containers how and grow their plants.
Pre-registration is not required, simply show up with some plastic jugs.
