Event Summary
"Introduction to Horses" Riding Camp: Equestrian camps are a wonderful way for a child to discover the world of horses. Beginning Riding Camps cover an introduction to the horse, safety, horse care, grooming, saddling, and basic riding skills.
This camp is tailored for the "first-time" riders. Students will learn the basics of riding. Students will arena ride each day learning the basics of being a balanced rider, proper posture and steering the horse. Riders will be introduced to the basic commands of walking, turning, stopping and steering their horse. This camp is filled with hands on activities, horse crafts, and games.
Horse and equipment are provided. Children should wear jeans and sturdy shoes. Campers should bring a Sack Lunch each day.
Cost for week-long camps is $225 per child.
