Nature's Apprenticeship: 5th & 6th Grade Camp

Arrowhead Park, Pottawattamie County

Tuesday, July 16, 2019

Become a Nature Apprentice and learn how nature transforms, functions, & adapts to changes throughout the seasons. Through experimentation, immersive learning, & scientific exploration we will learn what it takes for Mother Nature to do her job each day.

Campers will explore the balance needed to sustain a healthy ecosystem by learning about food webs, animal relationships, and weather. Hands on activities will include pond dipping, animal identification, & interacting with nature in low impact ways.

Nature's Apprenticeship is a three day camp, held June 16th through 18th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day at Arrowhead Park in Neola. This camp is designed for students entering 5th & 6th grade and the cost is $75.00 per camper & includes all three days of camp activities, supplies, and a snack each day. Campers must provide their own sack lunch for each day of camp.

Online pre-registration is required to attend as space is limited.

Please download our camp waiver form below in "Related Items" and return by email or USPS before camp or bring the completed form with you on the first day of camp. Please add your child's name, age and youth t-shirt size during registration. For more information on summer camp programs please call Rene Stroud, Naturalist at 712-545-3283. See you at camp!
