Nature Ninjas: 1st & 2nd Grade Camp

Become a Nature Ninja in Training at Hitchcock Nature Center. Learn the skills you need to be a stealthy nature explorer from Iowa wildlife. With these new skills we will prowl the prairies and attempt to sneak up and observe all the animals that call Hitchcock Nature Center home.
Campers will learn all about how animals stay hidden, find safe spaces, and sneak up on food with immersive learning through play. We will explore camouflage & different adaptations then we will put them in action as we try to copy animal behavior in the field.
Nature Ninjas is a three day camp, held June 18th - 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day at Hitchcock Nature Center. The cost is $75.00 per camper & includes all three days of camp activities, supplies, and a snack each day. Campers must provide their own sack lunch each day.
Online pre-registration is required as space is limited.
Please download our camp waiver form below in "Related Items" and return by email or USPS before camp or bring the completed form with you on the first day of camp.
