Bird Watching at Big Sioux Recreation Area

Event Summary

Join area birder Eric Harrold at Big Sioux Rec Area to look and listen for migrating songbirds including warblers, vireos, grosbeaks, thrushes, and more! If you have a bird guide or binoculars, you’re encouraged to bring those along. Early on, the focus will be observing birds as their activity decreases further from sunrise with an informative session on migratory bird conservation to occur afterward. Meet at the entrance booth at 8:00 a.m. Hike will last about an hour.
