There are two open air shelters available at Sandy Hollow Recreation Area. Each facility is located near waters edge and are available daily from 7 am- 10:30 pm, no overnight use. Shelters are available on a first come first served basis. These shelters make a great spot to gather for a family picnic, or reprieve from the sun and rain. No overnight use permitted.
Entrance fee's do apply to this area:
Annual vehicle pass- $20 first vehicle, additional passes are $10 per vehicle and must be same household. Must be purchased same day as initial pass. Pass is valid for both Sandy Hollow Rec. Area and Big Sioux Rec. Area.
Day vehicle pass- $5 per vehicle per day.
