OWLS (Older Wiser Livelier Souls) - Weeds are Much More than Plants Out of Place

Event Summary

Join Dr. Robert Hartzler to learn the history of several of Story County’s most nefarious plants and the traits that allow them to thrive. The research of two of Iowa State University's early botanists, Drs. Louis Pammel and Ada Hayden, will be featured. Dr. Hartzler is a retired ISU weed scientist and agronomy professor, as well as a very active SCC volunteer.

Doors open at 10:00AM for coffee/tea and chatting. Program runs 10:30-11:30AM.
