Event Summary
This camp is meant for children who will be starting Kindergarten in the fall.
Furries (Mammals) On our first day, we'll investigate animals that are furry. Your child will discover what makes an animal a mammal, create a story, go on a hike, and solve some mammal mysteries!
Feathers (Birds) On our second day, we'll spread our wings and fly like the birds! We will investigate what makes an animal a bird, how birds use their beaks, play bird bingo, make our own binoculars, and go birding! We'll give the owls a hoot, and read a story to boot.
Fliers (Insects) Our third day offers a six-legged adventure: BUGS! We'll build a bug, be buzzing bees, have a pollen race, catch insects in the prairie, and turn into insects!
Fins (Aquatic Animals) On our last day, we will splash with the fishes (not really)! We will discover what lives in the water and explore some of our hopping and swimming friends.
Snacks: We ask that you provide your child with a daily snack for our snack time breaks! Please make sure to include a water bottle.
NOTE: Your child may wear shorts to Polliwogs. We prefer children to wear shoes and socks --NO sandals. We are not responsible for lost hats or sunglasses. Story County Conservation staff will not apply bug spray or sun block. Please remember that Polliwogs camp is Monday-Thursday only.
Unless otherwise stated, refunds can be issued less a $5.00 processing fee per event for cancellations prior to the registration deadline. No refunds will be made after the registration deadline. Special Regulations
If you are registering more than one child for this camp, you will only be able to enter detailed information for one child. We will email you a form for the other children’s information.
