This camp is for children who will be completing 7th or 8th grade this spring. 

Aug. 11th-13th 9:00AM-2:30PM

Are you ready for an adventure? Let’s explore Iowa, underground! Connect with nature, make new friends, and learn outdoor skills with a two-night camping trip to Maquoketa Caves State Park. This camp is all about new experiences, overcoming challenges, and having fun in the outdoors. We will spend our time participating in activities including camping, cave exploring, fire building, outdoor cooking, nature hiking, and so much more.

Drop off and pick up at McFarland Park in Ames, IA. Children will travel with our naturalists to Maquoketa Caves State Park in Maquoketa, IA. 

No refunds are available for cancellations. If needed, Nature Connect, our service assistance program, provides a discount towards the cost of SCC camping, educational programs, and more. Contact us at 515-232-2516 to discuss.

If you are registering more than one child for this camp, you will only be able to enter detailed information for one child. We will email you a form for the other children’s information.
