Event Summary

Fall into nature’s colorful world of prairie flowers at Little Sprouts Studio! Young nature lovers will discover the beauty and importance of native prairie plants as they create two fun, hands-on crafts inspired by Iowa’s blooming landscapes. Little Sprouts will create a beautiful flower-themed craft to take home as a cheerful reminder of the prairies bursting with color this season. Then, they will roll up their sleeves and make their own prairie seed ball using clay and native prairie seeds. These can be tossed into a sunny spot at home or here in the prairie at our park to grow into beautiful blooms that provide food and habitat for pollinators. This drop-in crafting program is perfect for little hands, curious minds, and families who love nature, creativity, and a little bit of messy fun!

Target ages: children 5-12 years

Unless otherwise stated, refunds can be issued less a $5.00 processing fee per event for cancellations prior to the registration deadline. No refunds will be made after the registration deadline. To cancel a registration, please call (515) 232-2516. If needed, Nature Connect, our service assistance program, provides a discount off the cost of SCC camping, educational programs, and more.
