Story County Conservation (SCC) is inviting the public to share feedback about accessibility at its parks and facilities.  As part of an ongoing effort to better understand accessibility across its parks and facilities, SCC is conducting an ADA accessibility evaluation of its amenities. A key part of that process is hearing directly from people with disabilities and others who have experienced accessibility barriers while visiting SCC properties. SCC has retained the WT Group AEC, LLC Accessibility Practice to conduct the evaluation of SCC parks and facilities, and to develop the SCC ADA Transition Plan. The plan will identify accessibility barriers and help SCC establish priorities for addressing those barriers over time. Your experiences and perspectives can help us better understand where barriers exist and what accessibility needs should be considered as we plan for the future.

Virtual Public Meeting

SCC will host a virtual public meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 6 p.m., to provide information about the accessibility evaluation and hear directly from community members. The virtual meeting will be held via Microsoft Teams and can be accessed using the link and information below.
