Chasing Twilight Lanterns

Event Summary

This program is being held at Tedesco Environmental Learning Cooridor at 1815 Plaza Loop in Ames,  We will meet at the Overlook. 

Experience the magic of fireflies at the twilight lantern hunt! We will start with a brief introduction about fireflies, their habitats, and the best techniques for catching them safely and responsibly. Then, armed with jars, we will spread out across the park to chase and collect fireflies. As the night deepens, we will gather back at the Overlook to release our fireflies. 

Participants are encouraged to bring a flashlight. 

Unless otherwise stated, refunds can be issued less a $5.00 processing fee per event for cancellations prior to the registration deadline. No refunds will be made after the registration deadline.
