Public Prairie Burn

UPDATE:  The burn will take place on Tuesday, April 21st at 6pm. Please plan to be at the park by 5:45pm.

Interested in learning more about prescribed prairie burns and their significance? Then you won’t want to miss this SIZZLING program! Witness the rebirth of a prairie at Tedesco Environmental Learning Corridor by joining us for a live prairie burn. Story County Conservation staff will be on-site conducting the burn and staff will be present to provide information and answer questions. Event will take place outdoors and on paved trails. This burn will take place 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

This event is free but registration is required. Sign up with an email address you check daily. We will send an email notification one to two days in advance once a date is selected. It will be weather dependent, but you will be notified.
