This cabin sleeps up to 6 people. There are 2 sets of bunk beds and a queen sized sleeper sofa inside along with a microwave and a dorm sized refrigerator. Outside the cabin is a picnic table, fire ring and a charcoal grill. You are responsible for bringing your own cookware and linens. To obtain your keys to your cabin there is a cabin information kiosk located in front of the gravel parking lot provided for the cabins. The kiosk has 4 boxes on it that are numbered. Go to the numbered box that coincides with your cabin and there will be a padlock on the door with 4 rolling combination wheels. Enter the 4 digit code you selected (We highly suggest using the last 4 digits of your phone number). FOR RESERVATIONS DURING THE MONTHS OF JANUARY AND FEBRUARY OF EVERY YEAR YOU MUST CALL THE UNION COUNTY CONSERVATION BOARD OFFICE AT 641-347-5100 FOR RESERVATIONS.

Cabin Rental Agreement
By your agreement with terms and conditions, you represent that you are 21 years or older and that you are authorized to make a reservation on behalf of the group you have listed. You further agree to assume full responsibility for the acts, negligence or omissions of the members of your group while utilizing said facilities. Additionally, you agree that you have read and understand the CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICIES concerning this reservation, and have also read and understand the CABIN RENTAL AGREEMENT information.
You are reserving a facility in a Union County Conservation Board Park, ALL COUNTY PARK RULES AND STATE LAWS ARE ENFORCED. Contact the Union County Conservation Board Office at 641-347-5100 or unioncountycon@windstream.net listed on your reservation email if you have any questions about park rules, policies or special requests.
Failure to clean up the facility or surrounding area as outlined, or failure to comply with park rules or state laws may result in enforcement action. The Union County Conservation Board may take any legal action necessary to recover damages to county property.
CHECK-IN TIME: After 4:00 PM on the day of arrival.
CHECK-0UT TIME: Before 2:00 on the day of departure.
GETTING INTO A FACILITY (KEYS)
Your cabin keys will be located in the numbered box for your cabin at the kiosk located in the parking lot behind your cabin. “There is no need to Check-in at the Park Office.”
1. Insert your key code using the combination wheels. Line up your number with the groove on the bottom of the lock.
2. The lock will release when you enter in your combination.
3. To close the lock: Push the top loop into the padlock base then scramble the numbers.
PETS ($10.00 Flat Fee)
All of the cabins are considered pet friendly and we do allow pets. There is a $10.00 fee if you choose to bring your pet(s) while renting a cabin. All pet waste must be bagged and removed from cabin area.
CLEAN-UP
You are required to clean up the facility and grounds and return them to the condition you received them. A cleaning list is posted inside the cabin. Plan to have your facility cleaned and people departed prior to the scheduled 2:00 checkout time. Paper towels, trash bag, broom, and cleaning agents will be
SMOKING
Union County is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is prohibited in all buildings.
PARKING
Parking is confined to the designated parking areas. No parking or driving off roadways.
DIRECTIONAL SIGNS & DECORATIONS
Temporary, free standing directional signs are allowed – not to be attached to park structures, furniture, signposts or other facilities. Decorations are allowed as long as they are free standing or not affixed in any manner that would damage a facility or any painted walls (tape, tacks, nails, and staples can cause damage to walls). Special care should be taken with balloons so that they do not escape and possibly injure wildlife.
REFUSE
All refuse must be bagged and taken to the dumpsters provided in the area. Please do not use the fire ring as a trash receptacle. Please do not burn trash.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you need to cancel a reservation, you will forfeit 100% of all reservation fees paid. All cancellations must be made by calling the Union County Conservation Board Office at 641-347-5100.
REFUND POLICY
All reservations with the Union County Conservation Board facilities are final. Reservations are non-refundable, unless the following situations occur:
1. The National Weather Service has issued severe winter weather conditions and advised against travel.
2. We are unable to provide your facility (or like facility) in operable condition for the date of your event.
All requests for refunds must be made by calling the Union County Conservation Board Office at 641-347-5100.
KEG BEER
No kegs are allowed in the park.
TENTS AND CAMPERS
Sleeping tents and campers must have their own camp site located in the campground only. No sleeping tents are allowed in the cabin areas. Screen tents for picnic tables, etc. are allowed at no charge.
UNION COUNTY CONSERVATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ENTER CABINS IN THE CASE OF EMERGENCY, MAINTENANCE AND SECURITY PROBLEMS.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY “ONLY”, AFTER HOURS, WEEKENDS, OR HOLIDAYS, CONTACT THE UNION COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE AT 641-782-8402 OR LOCALLY 911. They can page the Park Ranger on duty.
