Event Summary

The North American River Otter is Iowa’s only native otter species.  These social mustelids were once extirpated from the state but have made a heroic comeback. We’ll get to know all 14 species of otters from around the world and then dive deeper for a hands-on exploration of all things North American River Otter.  

This free program is intended for families and homeschoolers. Participants should be prepared to go for a short hike. Attend the morning or the afternoon session. Limited to 40 people.
