Description
DISCRIPTION: The Davis County Conservation Board is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, proven leader to serve as the Board’s Director, Directing the day-to-day activities of a multi-faceted conservation program that includes park management, outdoor recreation, natural resource management, environmental education, land/water management, wildlife/fishery programs, and alternative funding programs. The Conservation Board Director is responsible for the Board’s equipment, supervising seasonal help, upkeep and maintence of facilities and operating within a specified fiscal year budget. The Director should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to both manage and lead multiple projects simultaneously. The Director serves as chief advisor to the Board and is responsible for developing a strategic plan, implementing Board policies, and interacting effectively with a variety of local and regional officials, advisory board members, and the general public.
Qualifications
Ideal candidate will possess a four year or two year college degree in a natural resources, forestry, or closely related field, and experience including personnel supervision.
