Description
PARK ATTENDANT: This full-time/seasonal position includes free housing at Lake Pahoja Recreation Area and is under general supervision of Operations Supervisor. Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks for assigned areas of the county. Responsibilities and duties to include, but not limited to, the following: Operate and maintain equipment of the County Conservation Board, repairs of buildings and playground equipment. Weekend work and flexible hours will be required during the primary camping season.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 18 years of age, a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent required. College level course work in the Natural Resources field is a plus. An equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to operate manual tools and equipment; ability to perform manual labor and to work outside under all types of weather conditions; ability to establish and maintain good public relations; ability to follow oral and written instructions.
SHIFT: Non-standard; weekend and holiday work required. May 15- Sept 1, will work with school ending and starting dates.
