Description
Be an integral part of our Environmental Education Program! Plan, develop, and present environmental education and interpretive programs for youth and adult groups, and the general public. Work with print, online, displays, and other communication media, as well as a nature center, live display animals, public natural areas, and other resources. Put your passion to work to create a more environmentally literate and caring citizenry!

Partial List of Essential Job Duties:
- Develops lesson plans, curricula, and related educational materials for use in educating the public about nature, conservation, and the environment.
- Coordinates and schedules programs and activities; maintains records of groups served.
- Educates teachers and other educators; serves as a nature center docent and receptionist.
- Writes program goals and objectives; develops printed materials, online media presence, and educational displays including articles, news releases, pamphlets, brochures, handouts, videos, A-V programs, interpretive displays/exhibits, signs, self-guided trails, websites, and social media.
- Represents the Conservation Board with good public relations and plans and implements fund-raising activities; stays current in fields related to nature, environment, and education.
- Assists in caring for live animals in exhibits, implementing habitat management, and general maintenance, as schedule permits or as assigned by the Executive Director.

Bachelor's Degree, 1-3 years' work experience, At hire or within 12 months: Class D - Chauffeur's License or CDL, Wilderness First Aid Training, IAN Professional Development Certificate, At hire or within 6 months: NWCG S130/S190, CPR/First Aid
