Description
The Clayton County Conservation Board is accepting applications for a Resource / Maintenance Technician. This full-time opportunity is based out of the Osborne Conservation Center, Elkader, IA.
The Resource / Maintenance Technician performs a wide variety of duties under the direct supervision of the Clayton County Conservation Board’s Executive Director. This employee works alongside the Operations/Maintenance staff to carry out the daily and long-range work activities in maintenance, resource management, recreation and natural areas of the Clayton County Conservation Board. Work involves overall maintenance for parklands, facilities and equipment particularly in regard to recreation and natural resource management.
Qualified candidates must be 18 years old and able to work a flexible schedule, which includes weekend hours and evening assignments at times. While a college degree in Conservation or Environmental Science is preferred, a high school diploma or GED is required. Candidates are required to hold (as a minimum) a Class C driver's license. Three years’ experience in a conservation related field is preferred.
