Description
Must possess knowledge of
conservation principles, practices, and trends. Must be capable of supervising part-time employees. Have the ability to communicate with the
public in a courteous manner. Must have
knowledge of skills, and ability to operate, vehicles, tractors, power and hand
tools, and other equipment in a productive and safe manner. Must possess basic knowledge of carpentry,
electrical, and plumbing skills, ability to routinely stand, sit, kneel, stoop,
balance, and climb. Be able to maintain
a good working relationship with other employees, and the public. Ability to perform strenuous physical labor
in all weather conditions. Must be able
to accept, and follow written and oral instructions. Must be able to acquire an Iowa CDL, Iowa
commercial pesticide application license, CPR certification, first responder certificate, and certification as a Peace Officer through the Iowa Law
Enforcement Academy. Requires
psychological and physical testing, and background check.

Qualifications
4 year degree in natural resources, conservation recreations, park management, biological sciences, or a closely related subject, and practical work experience in parks or a related field is preferred.
