Event Summary

Students that have participated in Outdoor Explorers previously will get preference. It is a longer session in order to provide more hands-on opportunities. Participants will enjoy outdoor cooking, fishing, shooting pellet guns/trap shoot, prairie photography, and visit the Hawkeye Buffalo Ranch! All equipment will be provided. Sessions will meet at South Riverside Park on every Tuesday and Thursday in July. Bremer County Naturalists Heather Gamm and Chelsea Ewen will teach/lead all sessions and transport students.



Enrollment Fee: $40.00

Enrollment Ages: 11-13 years old

Class size limit: 11

July 5th: Geocaching

July 10th: Canoeing/Fishing

July 12th: Archery/Pellet Guns/Trapshooting

July 17th: Creek Stomp

July 19th: Frisbee Golf/Prairie Photography

July 24th: Canoeing on the Shell Rock River

July 26th: Hawkeye Buffalo Ranch Tour

July 31st: Living the "Green" Life
