Maquoketa Caves Wildflower Walk


Event Summary

Join us on a journey through the scenic beauty Maquoketa Caves State Park, 9688 Caves Rd, Maquoketa, IA 52060, as we explore the diverse array of early spring wildflowers in bloom. The Wildflower Walk will take place on April 15 from 10 am to 11 am and will be an opportunity to connect with nature and learn about the different types of wildflowers found in the area. The walk will be led by Jackson County Naturalist Tony Vorwald who will provide insight into the biology and ecology of the plants. Participants will also have the chance to ask questions and take photos of the beautiful wildflowers they encounter. Participants are to meet at the stone pavilion above Dancehall Cave. Modern bathroom facilities will not be available. Please dress for the weather and conditions. Please register 48 hours in advance.
