How do I visit Toolesboro National Historic Landmark?

Toolesboro NHL is open to the public Memorial Weekend - Labor Day Weekend from 12:30-4:30, Wed-Sun. 
After Labor Day - Oct. 31 it is open 12:30-4:30, Saturdays only

Challenge Course dates fill up quickly. We recommend scheduling 6 months - 1 year in advance for large groups.

Where is the LCC Office?

The LCC Office is located at 12653 Co Rd G56, Wapello, IA 52653. 
Follow HWY 61 north out of Wapello and head east on G56. We are located in the County Complex along with Public Health and the Sheriff. 

The LCC Office parking lot is the first parking lot on your left. 


How do I find a Hunter Education Class?

LCC offers two Hunter Ed classes, one in mid-March and one in mid-October. These classes are two days - Thursday evening and all day on Saturday. 

All Hunter Ed classes in Iowa are posted and registration is taken through gooutdoorsiowa.com

What River Accesses do you have?

There are 4 accesses onto the Iowa River in Louisa County. 
Hwy 70 north of Columbus Junction
River Forks at Fredonia
Hwy 61 north of Wapello (difficult to launch from)
Cappy Russell east of Oakville
Wykert's Landing is located on a Mississippi River channel across from Keithsburg, Il.
