Cairo Woods Wildlife Area

Cairo (pronounced "care-oh") is a favorite with locals for berry-picking, mushrooming, hiking, horseback riding and all kinds of hunting. Local cross-country teams use the trails for practice runs.

Location

There are three access points for Cairo Woods. The main access is located on the west side and quickly connects to the trail system and best berry picking areas. The East Access is a great place to access woodland hunting as well as connect to the trails. Trails are mowed paths that wind along a mix of grassland, prairie, woodland, food plots, and ponds.
