The RT Reese Homestead is nestled along the slope of the Loess Hills overlooking the Missouri River bottom and sits on the Loess Hills National Scenic Byway (Larpenteur Memorial Road). The Homestead is surrounded by 713 acres of public land owned by the Monona County Conservation Board or the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. While visiting the RT Reese Homestead you will have easy access to the Davis Wetland and the surrounding hills, making it one of the few places in Iowa with easy public access to wetlands, grasslands and timber. Location

From Onawa drive East on Highway 175 to Turin, turn North on Lapenteur Memorial Road (Loess Hills National Scenic Byway) go 1 mile and the cabin will be on your right at 22171 Lapenteur Memorial Road.

Features

A two bedroom cabin that is heated and air conditioned has a stove, full sized refrigerator, microwave oven and TV/DVD player, a dining table and futon that sleeps two are also available. Some cookware, dishes and utensils are available. Each bedroom has a full sized bed with an attached single bunk above. The ADA bathroom includes a tub and shower. The cabin is wheelchair accessible and will comfortably sleep 8. Outside you will find an upright grill, picnic table and fire ring.
