Discover Watson Heritage Area in Emmetsburg

Watson Heritage Area has several wetlands that have been restored and over 200 acres of restored prairie.  There is a mowed trail which follows the tree line/ river.  These trails are great for people to view wildlife such as deer, pheasant, waterfowl, songbirds, and many other non-game species.  There is also a kayak access in the north parking lot for those who want to enjoy a calm float on the Des Moines River.
