Nestling Naturalists: Hibernation

Event Summary

Nestling Naturalists is an interactive program designed to teach children (ages 0-4+) about nature through stories and related activities.

This January, we will be learning all about hibernation! Listen to winter-themed stories, as well as touch and feel real-life furs and skulls of some of Iowa's most common winter animals. Books selected include:

• Sleep, Big Bear, Sleep! by Maureen Wright
• Over and Under the Snow by Kate Messner 
• Winter Sleep: A Hibernation Story by Sean Taylor & Alex Morss 
• A Warm Winter Tail by Carrie A. Pearson

Registration costs $5 per family.

Refund Policy: Refunds will only be given in the case of a documented medical emergency or funeral for programs more than $10. If program cost is under $10, a program voucher will be offered for a future program. If a program is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen reasons, then a similar program will be offered in its place.
